Day #1192 in the #FlintWaterCrisis: RESEARCH
So I've heard that a certain person keeps saying that the Safe Drinking Water Act lawsuit that the NRDC & ACLU won for us does the same as the Governor's 75 point "action plan" for Flint. THIS IS HILARIOUS. Snyder planned to have 30 LEAD service lines replaced plus faucets in public buildings. There was talk of infrastructure with ZERO plans to fund it! See: http://www.mlive.com/…/…/state_plans_for_flint_water_cr.html
The NRDC settlement forces the State to pay for ALL 18,000-20,000 lead AND galvanized service lines to be replaced within 3 years or less: https://www.nrdc.org/st…/flint-drinking-water-settlement-faq. Not the 10-15 years as originally thought. (Snyder's plan also forced us to stay with the KWA.) My advice is for people to keep asking questions and then do your own research. Don't fall into their drama-filled attacks and nonsense. Flint deserves better than that!
