Partly sunny skies and temperatures hovering around the 70 degree mark provided a picture perfect day for the annual Normal Park Association Community Yard Sale in Ypsilanti Saturday, June 2. From Cross Street to Pearl St and from Summit to Mansfield, the streets and sidewalks were full of folks looking for deals, chatting, and schlepping...stuff. Cool stuff, mind you! Hell, I even got a set of very nice ceramic mugs for free!
This Woodstock of yard sales began at 9 am Saturday and ended at 4 pm, although bargain hunters began pouring into the neighborhood by 8 am.
Even if you didn't buy anything people still had a great time chatting with neighbors and people watching.
