As of 8:30 this morning it looks like voter turnout is strong in Ypsilanti. At Estabrook Elementary, which is in Ward 2 Precinct 1, the parking lot was full as people made their into the school to cast their vote in this extremely important election.
One voter told me that when the polls opened in the morning lines were very long outside of the Estabrook Elementary polling station.
