A Unity Rally and march was held Tuesday afternoon on the campus of Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti. The rally began at The Towers student housing near the Student Center.
Roughly 30 student demonstrators participated in the rally/march that was organized by the EMU Black Student Union.
A short speech was given by one of the organizers. The speaker spoke of the tragic reality of homophobia, bullying, and racial discrimination. The organizers called for unity among all people . Following the speech organizers led a campus wide march. Demonstrators chanted, "Love Trumps Hate."

Man, I wish I would have known you all were going to write this article. I attended WHS my Sophomore year and would have LOVED to give a statement and more insight on the rally. I was the co-organizer of this event. -Desmine Robinson
