An event called Not My President's Day / Bad & Nasty Cabaret is being planned for President's Day. According to the organizers "Bad Hombres and Nasty Women" will present the Not My President's Day event at Dreamland Theater in downtown Ypsilanti on February 20th.
In an attempt to focus anger toward the Trump administration Not My President's Day performance events are being planned around the nation.
The event at Ypsilanti's Dreamland Theater will include storytelling, comedy, improv, performance art and the Drag King Rebellion.
According to event organizers Patti Smith, and Heidi Haire," BAD AND NASTY (aka Bad Hombres and Nasty Women) is a loose-knit coalition of artists, activists, media makers, theater folks, web geeks, designers, performers, writers, concerned citizens and talented people around the world who are tired of waking up every morning since Election Day 2016 feeling angry/scared/sad and not having anything useful to do with those emotions."
The event will held at Dreamland Theater located at 26 N Washington St. in Ypsilanti from 7 PM - 9:45 PM. Admission is $5.00. All proceeds will benefit Planned Parenthood.
The doors open at 7 PM and performances begin at 8 PM.
