Ozone House to host fundraiser for LGBTQ youth.

On February 16 Ozone House in Ann Arbor will host a fundraiser in support of it's youth services for young people that identify as LGBTQ and seek out Ozone House for support and services.

The 4th annual Home Sweet Home fundraising event will include wine, cheese and chocolate in support of LGBTQ youth. The event will be held at Zingerman's Greyline located at 100 N. Ashley St in Ann Arbor at 6:30 PM.

You can purchase tickets through February online at ozonehouse.org. Tickets are $75.

According to Ozone House nationally 40% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ. Further, one in 4 calls received by Ozone House 24 hour crisis line is from an LGBTQ youth. 25-40% of homeless youth, which translates into teenagers, are having to experience unstable living arrangements. These teens face bullying and rejection from their families. This tragic reality occurs here in Washtenaw county on a daily basis.

Ozone House also has a support group called PrideZone that meets weekly at their Ypsilanti location on N. Hamilton St., where LGBTQ youth create a community to discuss issues, support each other as well as have a lot of fun.
