Parola Perspective: Progressives should look favorably at Dems attempts to cut deals with Trump.

Of course the Dems should not accept any deal that involves Trump's Wall. At the same time, progressives should look favorably at the Dems attempts to cut deals with Trump for the following reasons:

1) As spineless as his DACA policy is, his signal to Dems is ultimately a good thing. What he's essentially saying is: "I don't want to deal with this, and congress needs to." The only reason he's taking the hard line, is to appeal to his base, but he clearly doesn't want to go there, or he'd have never put it in congress' hands.

And, he's RIGHT...congress needs to deal with it. And considering there seems to be bi-partisan support against his deportation plan, then I see nothing wrong in him pressuring congressional leaders to do something about it.
