Love Resilience Action Ypsi local walking civil rights history tour Saturday


The local organization Love Resilience Action Ypsi organized a walking tour of Ypsilanti's impressive abolitionist, black civil rights, worker, women's, and disability history. The walk was led by Love, Resilience, Action Ypsi coordinators Jen and Mariah. The two coordinators were on the steering committee of the Ypsilanti Women's March Saturday, January 21.

Saturdays walk consisted of about ten people. Participants in the Ypsilanti civil rights history walk gathered in front of Bona Sera Restaurant in downtown Ypsilanti at 1:00pm..

The route took 30 minutes, beginning at Bona Sera, looping back around before ending at the restaurant. Participants as well as organizers spoke at the various stops.

The tour highlighted two multi-cultural themed murals near Dos Hermanos Market on Michigan Ave.
