Folks, if we believe in the importance of diplomacy over militarism, then it is up to all of us, but especially those on the supposedly pacifistic left, to stand up for diplomacy. To do that one must stand up for the FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPAL OF COMPROMISE! Yet there are as many on the left, as there are on the right who now think that compromise, and therefore diplomacy is for wimps! If you give up on compromise in the domestic arena of politics, than you encourage the trend of undermining it, on the international stage as well.
