Solar Eclipse Party Monday, August 21, Ypsilanti District Library.
By Editor & Publisher Jeff Brown.
Updated August 20. 10:10 PM.
Just in case you haven't heard, which would be hard to believe, the first solar eclipse in 38 years is coming to a town near you! Ok, I should say, a sky near you!
If you'd like to find a cool place to witness this rare cosmic happening you can join NASA JPL Solar System Ambassador Jennifer Ayala for an eclipse viewing party at the Ypsilanti District Library on Whittaker Road, Monday August 21. You can bring the whole family! NASA eclipse viewing glasses will be provided, also. NASA viewing glasses sound hardcore! I love it. Ms Ayala will be on hand to answer any and all of your questions. If the weather is crummy, not to worry, because they will have a live webcast of the event indoors.
This is the first total solar eclipse in 38 years in North America and this event will be a fine way to experience the celestial happening.
The event will be held Monday at the Ypsilanti District Library on Whittaker Road in Ypsilanti from 1 pm - 3 pm.
Update: There will be eclipse viewing parties at all three Ypsi Library locations. Viewing glasses will be provided.
