U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Dingell held an event called Congress in your Community Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at the downtown Ypsilanti Farmers Market.Throughout the month Dingell is using the August District Work Period to hear what is on the minds of her constituent's. She will be holding 10 Congress in Your Community events as an opportunity to hear what is on the minds and meet with residents who live in Michigan's 12th District. This according to Dingell's office. This event is happening during National Farmers Market Week, which is taking place from August 6-12, 2017.

The Congress in Your Community event in Ypsilanti Tuesday afternoon was well-attended as many residents turned out for the event that ran from 4-5:30 pm downtown.

According to Dingells office, "Congress in Your Community allows Dingell to talk directly with members of the community at their local markets about their issues and concerns."
